The Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 for Canon RF mount is a full-frame autofocus telephoto prime lens designed for portrait, wedding, and event photography. The 85mm focal length is a classic choice for flattering portraits, offering natural compression and strong subject isolation. Its bright f/1.4 aperture delivers excellent low-light performance, smooth background blur (bokeh), and a cinematic look with shallow depth of field.

It features fast, quiet autofocus optimized for Canon RF mirrorless cameras, making it suitable for both stills and video work. The lens produces good sharpness, pleasing contrast, and attractive rendering of out-of-focus areas. Compact for its aperture class, it is a practical and affordable option for RF users who want a professional-style portrait lens with strong creative depth control.
