The Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 for Canon EF mount is a full-frame autofocus telephoto prime lens designed primarily for portrait photography. Its 85mm focal length is ideal for flattering headshots, weddings, events, and studio work, offering natural perspective compression and excellent subject isolation. The bright f/1.4 aperture delivers strong low-light performance, smooth background blur (bokeh), and beautiful separation between subject and background.

It features fast and quiet autofocus, making it suitable for both photography and video use, while maintaining a relatively compact design compared to many 85mm f/1.4 lenses. Optically, it provides good sharpness, high contrast, and pleasing rendering of out-of-focus areas. Overall, it is a popular and affordable portrait lens choice for Canon EF users seeking professional-looking results with shallow depth of field.
