The Samyang 85mm F1.4 for Sony E-mount is a full-frame autofocus telephoto prime lens designed primarily for portrait photography. Its 85mm focal length is ideal for headshots, weddings, events, and studio work, offering flattering perspective compression and strong subject isolation. The bright f/1.4 aperture delivers excellent low-light performance, smooth background blur (bokeh), and a cinematic look with shallow depth of field.

It features fast and quiet autofocus optimized for Sony E-mount cameras, making it suitable for both still photography and video. The lens produces good sharpness, high contrast, and attractive rendering of out-of-focus areas. Compact for its class, it is a popular and affordable portrait lens option for Sony users who want professional-looking results without the higher cost of flagship 85mm lenses.
