The Nikon Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 is a compact APS-C macro and standard prime lens designed for Nikon Z DX cameras like the Z30, Z fc, and Z50. It is Nikon’s first DX “micro” lens in this lineup, meaning it can focus very close to subjects and capture life-size macro detail while still working as a normal everyday 35mm lens. It has a bright f/1.7 aperture, which helps in low light and also creates smooth background blur, making it useful for portraits, street photography, food, flowers, and product shots. Its 35mm focal length gives a natural view similar to the human eye, so it works well for general shooting, while the macro ability lets you capture very small details with sharp clarity.
In simple terms, this lens is a lightweight all-round prime with macro capability, perfect for users who want both everyday photography and close-up detail in one lens.
